It wasn&rsquo;t. It was Changi to Kuala Lumpur, a four-hour layover in a terminal with one working power socket, then a second aircraft north to Guilin Liangjiang. I landed at KWL after dark, missed the last airport shuttle into town, and paid for a taxi with cash I hadn&rsquo;t withdrawn yet.</p>
