Day two is the Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo — the stretch of river with the karst peaks you’ve seen in photos — followed by West Street and an evening at the Impression Liu Sanjie show. Day three covers Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, and Fubo Hill in town before you head out.

Route 2: The 4-Day Guilin + Yangshuo Slow Route — adds a morning in Xingping ancient town (the view on the ¥20 note) or a Yulong River bamboo raft through the countryside near Yangshuo. This is the version I book for friends who want photos without rushing.

Route 3: The 6-Day Guangxi Deep Route — Guilin, Yangshuo, then a second night at the terraces or a detour to the ethnic minority villages of Longsheng, with a hiking day instead of a second cruise. Great if you’ve already seen Beijing and Shanghai and want the southern countryside properly.
